About the Artist 

From Norway's fjords to Normandy's fields to his current base in Toulouse, Mael Alcantara has lived the life of a nomad. His work carries the wandering spirit of someone who's never quite settled in one place for too long. A few years ago, he traded his aerospace engineering studies for a professional career in the arts.

Specializing in 2D digital illustration, Mael chases what he calls the "WOW" effect. Every piece he creates is designed to be impressive, to grab you by the collar and make you feel something. His works chronicle the lives of inhabitants of fictional worlds, preferring to catch them during the most eventful and dramatic moments.
